Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, seeks a Clinical Applications Analyst II to design, implement and support clinical and enterprise applications that improve patient care and operations. This mid‑level role guides junior analysts, collaborates with clinical teams, and provides reliable technology solutions to empower staff and researchers.

The role includes on‑call rotations, travel to the Tampa campus as needed, and a focus on Epic environments and healthcare workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, IS, Healthcare or related field) required.
• Epic Certification in at least ONE Research Tools module.
• 3 years of applicable Epic build experience; high complexity in Epic.
• Advanced knowledge of application support and development.
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
• Experience in research/clinical trials operations.
• Experience with workflow analysis or development of application solutions preferred.
• Experience with Epic applications, other health IT systems, and healthcare operations preferred.
• Must hold Epic certification in designated area(s).
• Knowledge of clinical, business, and/or operational hospital workflows preferred.
• Visio proficiency preferred.
• Strong PM and presentation skills preferred.
• Professional-level certifications in informatics/health IT preferred.
• Excellent presentation and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, configure, build, test, implement and maintain clinical and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, interfaces, and databases.
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability.
• Perform QA and integrated testing to align with standards.
• Support projects and develop enhancements and reports for clinical and operational priorities.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for build specs.
• Mentor Analyst I team members on tasks and processes.
• Provide 24/7 operational support and participate in on-call rotations.
