Description

POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for providing primary support and contact for each application. Coordinates all issues that arise during the project for assigned application areas and provides subject matter expertise, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Trinity Health's policies, procedures, and business operations. Works directly with the customer to develop best practice workflows based on decisions from various system decision-making groups and translates this information into the application build. Collaborates closely with other Epic Application Coordinators, Project Managers, Trainers, and Application Managers.

Essential Functions

  • Demonstrates understanding and incorporation of Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Establishes priorities aligned with organizational initiatives, manages multiple projects, and adapts to changing priorities.
  • Consults with providers, clinicians, executives, and management to support decisions, workflows, and initiatives.
  • Analyzes data to support projects and communicates findings effectively.
  • Provides guidance on integration, architecture, system selection, and clinical process transformation.
  • Researches and contributes to recommendations on new functionality implementation and upgrade processes.
  • Recommends innovative application solutions to improve workflow, safety, productivity, and financial outcomes.
  • Leads application integration decisions and supports documentation development.
  • Analyzes and reengineers business processes to meet clinical and business needs.
  • Prepares project plans and status reports.
  • Collaborates in establishing evidence-based workflows, order sets, and decision support tools.
  • Uses performance improvement methodologies and change management strategies.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary design, implementation, and reporting groups.
  • Models teamwork and operates in a collaborative environment.
  • Manages multiple projects, pursues professional growth, and utilizes support staff and tools effectively.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Willingness to travel to work sites as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a subject matter expert, specialist, or consultant.
  • Ability to learn Epic software and obtain certification within 3-6 months.
  • 3-5 years experience in performance/business process improvement or building IT systems.
  • Ability to interface with technical and business teams.
  • Familiarity with clinical software and information systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and support end-user training.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative environment and adhere to deadlines.
Physical and Mental Requirements

Operates in a typical office environment, requiring communication, manual dexterity, concentration, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Travel may be required, including after hours and weekends.
