Job summary

Hydro is seeking an Environmental Technician to support the Central Environmental Group across ENA in Rosemont, IL with up to 50% travel and remote work. You will help collect and analyze environmental data, support reporting, audits, and sustainability initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and driving energy and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum experience in the environmental field.
• Experience with practices and technologies that drive reduction in waste and resource consumption.
• Experience with applicable federal and state environmental regulations.
• Experience working in manufacturing and industrial environments.
• Experience with sustainability reporting and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Data collection: aggregate environmental data from multiple workgroups and ensure accuracy.
• Reporting: analyze data and prepare reports for audits and planning; develop presentations.
• Customer inquiries: respond to environmental inquiries and surveys (REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, TSCA, etc).
• Site audits: support ASI certification audits and on-site inspections.
• Compliance monitoring: assist with regulatory compliance and corrective actions.
• Support environmental projects: identify improvements to reduce energy, water, and waste.
• Communication and training: share best practices and cascade knowledge across ENA.
• Documentation: maintain SharePoint and records of environmental programs.
