Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our Resilience Environment team in Raleigh/Cary, North Carolina. You will apply your background in environmental science and engineering to projects focusing on soil, water, and air quality, as well as monitoring and remediation efforts.

Fieldwork will be a significant component, with opportunities to travel across the Carolinas and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in geology/environmental science/engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting.
• Advanced degree (M. Eng., MS, MBA, etc.) is preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred.
• Experience with subcontractor oversight is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field coordination for soil, groundwater sampling, and air quality projects.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
• Coordinate subcontractor scopes of work and manage budgets/timelines.
• Travel within the Carolinas and beyond with occasional site visits.
• Promote health and safety and communicate risk when needed.
