Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support stormwater and other regulatory compliance tasks from a remote home office in the Northern Kentucky region. The position focuses on field assessments, erosion control inspections, and documenting environmental resources for energy projects, with some work on other projects as needed.

You will compile data, prepare weekly reports and permitting documents under supervision, and may travel to Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.)

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of field experience in environmental science or related area.
• Advanced technical writing ability and strong interpersonal skills.
• Travel within OH, IN, KY; extended field assignments likely.
• Knowledge of erosion and sedimentation control monitoring and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Complete construction inspections, erosion control monitoring, and environmental marking and staking.
• Assist with field data collection and wetland delineations.
• Work ~90% in the field and ~10% in the office; flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Gain knowledge of regulatory requirements and complete basic regulatory agency applications.
