• Leads the Flight Standards environmental program and ensures ongoing assessment of FAA practices and their environmental impact.
• Identifies environmental risks and develops abatement plans and targets to reduce negative impacts on NAS operations.
• Prepares and reviews environmental documents including Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), and Categorical Exclusions (CATEXs).

Responsibilities

• Acts as environmental advisor to private party filers, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Negotiates controversial issues, planning and coordination to influence implementation and resolve differing opinions.
• Establishes guidelines for private party filers ensuring consistency across lines of business and NEPA compliance.
