Job summary

Community Health Systems (CHS) invites a remote BS&A Architect to define and drive enterprise application architecture strategy, ensuring solutions align with corporate goals, improve operations, and support healthcare business priorities.

As a senior technical leader, you will shape design principles, oversee governance, and guide investments across critical software portfolios, with emphasis on EMR and clinical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; or the equivalent preferred
• More than 10 years of experience in IT architecture, systems design, or related engineering disciplines required
• 15+ years of experience in IT or Cybersecurity preferred
• 7+ years of experience in application architecture in a clinical setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise architecture strategy and multi-year technology roadmaps, ensuring they are tightly aligned with organizational objectives.
• Serve as a strategic advisor and key technical leader to executive leadership. Translate complex business needs into scalable enterprise application strategies and guide investment priorities.
• Establish collaborative partnerships across diverse technology teams, ASM, business directors, and executive stakeholders.
• Lead governance of architectural decisions, standards, and frameworks across the organization.
• Develop and maintain dynamic application roadmaps, design patterns, and solution delivery frameworks.
• Mentor and guide talented architects and engineering leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
