Job summary

phia LLC is hiring a Senior Enterprise Security Architect to support cyber protection architecture, engineering, and operations at a large Federal agency. Remote work flexibility; U.S. citizenship and Public Trust vetting required.

Responsibilities include leading security architecture efforts, threat modeling, roadmaps, and governance across hybrid environments with data centers and multi-cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise security architecture, cybersecurity engineering and IT operations.
• Strong experience with edge and perimeter protection solutions and designs (IDS/IPS, WAF/WAAP, SDWAN remote security).
• In-depth understanding of security framework alignment: map infrastructure to NIST CSF / SP 800-53 and CIS controls.
• Experience securing hybrid, multi-cloud environments across data centers and cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary security architecture advisor to agency infrastructure security leadership, translating risks into business metrics.
• Lead design, threat modeling, and remediation sessions across engineering and external partners.
• Formulate Enterprise Security Architecture roadmaps aligning investments with goals in edge, cloud, transport, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align initiatives with cyber defense strategies.
• Maintain and enhance agency security posture across evolving infrastructure.
