Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Security Architect for a 12M+ contract that is remote. The role focuses on enterprise security architecture across applications, cloud, infrastructure, APIs, and data.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to embed secure-by-design principles and establish reference architectures, security standards, and best practices. You will drive security reviews, risk mitigation, and governance while championing IAM, network controls, and data protection.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security architecture initiatives across applications, cloud, and infrastructure.
• Ability to assess risk and design secure-by-design solutions.
• Strong understanding of IAM, network security, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end security architecture reviews for applications, SaaS, and infrastructure.
• Lead data risk assessments, encryption, masking, and access governance.
• Perform cloud security assessments and implement hardening aligned with best practices.
• Provide architectural oversight for application security, API security, and vulnerability management.
• Promote strong authentication, MFA, and zero-trust principles across environments.
