Job summary

Metronet in the United States seeks an Enterprise Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across data centers and remote sites. You will lead network and security initiatives, manage upgrades, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive modernization of the enterprise tech environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with firewall deployments, data center networking, and WAN/Routing/Switching, with strong analytical and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4+ years of network engineering/security experience.
• Experience with NGFW firewalls (Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, FortiGate) and policy management.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale network infrastructure across multi-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise network and security platforms.
• Manage projects from planning through implementation, testing, and support.
• Design LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud-connected networks to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain network security standards and reference architectures.
• Review firewall rules, perform security policy cleanups, and assist with remediation.
• Document networks and security configurations, procedures, and diagrams.
• Respond to and resolve tickets per SLAs and change management practices.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, security teams, and internal stakeholders.
