Job summary

Inotiv is seeking an experienced Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain our virtualized server infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments. This hands-on, individual-contributor role focuses on the health, performance, and security of our virtualization platforms and related enterprise systems, performed in a remote capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3+ years administering enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration in production.
• Experience with enterprise backup/DR solutions for virtualized environments.
• Understanding of core networking concepts (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization environments.
• Provision, configure, and manage Windows and Linux VMs.
• Monitor performance and capacity; resolve bottlenecks.
• Apply patches, updates, and firmware to hypervisors and guests.
• Design and maintain DR/backup processes; participate in DR testing.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams.
• Identify automation opportunities using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible.
