Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead design, governance, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across large IT environments. You will define current, transition, and future-state architectures, and guide strategic roadmaps for data center, storage, recovery, and cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 16 to 20 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, solution architecture, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience designing and governing large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in data center technologies, databases, storage platforms, backup and recovery solutions, and modernization initiatives.
• Proven experience developing enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, governance processes, and strategic technology roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, compliance controls, risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures aligned with business strategies.
• Develop and govern enterprise architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps for data center, storage, and DR environments.
• Lead architecture assessments for infrastructure transformation, cloud adoption, modernization, migration, and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate solutions and provide architectural recommendations for scalability, performance, security, and cost.
• Ensure designs meet resilience, continuity, capacity, compliance, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Lead technology selection, vendor evaluations, and proof-of-concept activities for strategic investments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture alignment and governance.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and decision records.
