Job summary

Informed K12 is looking for an experienced Architect to guard simplicity of our core platform and guide AI-driven engineering. The role focuses on owning data models, API design, and upcoming migrations, while mentoring senior engineers and shaping architectural choices.

You will interact with enterprise districts, influence engineering strategy, and advance maintainability in our education-tech product as we grow.

Qualifications

10+ years of senior engineering experience with enterprise software.
Fluency with API design and data modeling for operational systems.
Shipped migrations affecting many users with strong failure-mode awareness.
Experience using AI tools in production environments.

Responsibilities

Own the durability of the core platform data model and decide when to add structure vs flexibility.
Own API design across partner integrations and workflow APIs.
Lead major architecture migrations planned for 12–24 months ahead.
Mentor senior ICs without creating bottlenecks.
Own patterns, tests, and tooling for reliable AI-assisted engineering loops.
Engage with enterprise customers in person when needed and influence design decisions.
