Job summary

North Park University in Chicago seeks an Application Programmer Analyst to support administrative systems, perform programming and system administration, and guide end-users. You will report to the Director of Enterprise Applications and collaborate across IT and campus units.

The role emphasizes integration work with Ellucian Colleague and other ERP tools, scripting in SQL/PowerShell/Python, training colleagues, and maintaining security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytical discipline or related field.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities.
• Experience integrating with enterprise systems, preferably Ellucian Colleague.
• Proficiency in SQL, PowerShell, Python with developing and deploying enhancements.
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Commitment to North Park’s mission and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration for multiple enterprise applications (Ellucian Colleague, Jira/Confluence, Salto).
• Design, test, and implement programming solutions to enhance functionality.
• Integrate applications following vendor guidance and security policies.
• Train IT staff and institutional personnel in proper usage and security.
• Document changes and decisions in IT systems.
• Communicate upcoming system updates to IT and campus users.
• Manage access control following least privilege principles.
