Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Cloud / AI Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of agentic AI solutions and intelligent workflow automation. This remote, contract role centers on building production-grade AI pipelines using AWS Agent Core and scalable RAG frameworks across enterprise environments.

You will define standards for AI agents, vector search, and data integration, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex needs into scalable AI platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, software engineering, data platforms, or related technical fields.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise AI/ML solutions in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Agent Core and building Agentic AI frameworks, workflows, and orchestration pipelines.
• Experience designing, implementing, and scaling Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop proof-of-concept solutions and transition them into scalable production platforms.
• Experience evaluating or implementing cloud-native AI solutions across AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs), vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration patterns.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and data ecosystems.
• Prior experience serving in an Architect, Principal Engineer, or similar technical leadership role.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Agentic AI solutions and intelligent workflow automation platforms.
• Build proof-of-concept and production-ready AI pipelines leveraging AWS Agent Core and modern agent-based architectures.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks to support scalable enterprise knowledge retrieval and AI-driven decision-making.
• Define architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for AI agents, orchestration workflows, vector search, and enterprise data integration.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud platform strategies across AWS, GCP, and other emerging AI ecosystem technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on with prototyping, pipeline development, and solution implementation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven process optimization and workflow enrichment.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including customer-facing discussions and executive-level presentations.
• Support enterprise adoption of AI capabilities through architecture reviews, technology assessments, and implementation guidance.
