Job summary

SENTA Partners is seeking a Professional Coder to review clinical documentation and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM codes and modifiers for ENT and allergy services. The role emphasizes compliance with CMS, payer policies, and NCCI edits while supporting revenue integrity.

The ideal candidate has CPC or CCS certification and at least 2 years of professional coding experience, with strong terminology skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Professional certification in medical coding (CPC or CCS) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional medical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, NCCI edits, MUEs, and CMS/ payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation to assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and modifier codes.
• Apply appropriate E/M coding principles and document rationale.
• Identify and report separately identifiable services and modifiers as required.
• Review claims for NCCI edits, MUEs, and payer-specific rules; resolve denials.
• Query providers when documentation lacks supporting details for codes.
• Support denials, appeals, and payer inquiries; participate in coding audits.
