Job summary

SENTA Partners is a leading MSO supporting ENT and Allergy private practices. The Professional Coder reviews clinical documentation and assigns CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM codes with accuracy to support reimbursement and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with providers and revenue cycle teams to identify coding opportunities, resolve discrepancies, and improve revenue integrity, while staying current with coding guidelines and payer policies.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional medical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, NCCI edits, MUEs, and Medicare coding requirements.
• Knowledge of professional fee coding and physician practice billing.
• Remote, computer-based work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation to determine the appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM codes and modifiers based on documentation and guidelines.
• Apply E/M coding principles, including time when applicable.
• Review ENT documentation for coding accuracy, including surgical and office notes.
• Identify reportable services, bundles, add-ons, bilateral procedures, and modifier requirements.
• Research payer policies, LCDs/NCDs, and other reimbursement rules.
• Assist with denials, appeals, and payer inquiries; communicate with providers as needed.
• Maintain coding productivity and quality standards.
