Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an Engineering Services Analyst to engage with clients by presenting data on project costs, timelines, progress, and resolving data discrepancies. This role is intermediate and can operate in a hybrid office/remote setting, contributing to utility asset management for clients in the U.S.

and Canada. As a key contributor, you will lead client meetings, prepare agendas, investigate issues, and help manage invoices, data, and software tools like SPANS,

Qualifications

• Prior electric utility or telecommunications design engineering knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Google Workspace, data entry, and utility data tracking software such as SPANS, NJUNS, and GIS platforms. Must be able to learn new client-required system software.
• Strong communication skills including written and verbal. Read and comprehend instructions and memos; draft professional correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings, present data on costs and timelines, provide insights, and update clients on project progress.
• Prepare for client meetings by developing meeting agendas and organizing relevant data.
• Conduct investigations to resolve client issues; address billing and timeline questions and deliver recommendations.
• Assist in vendor relationship management.
• Prepare, review, and process invoices and billing statements for engineering services.
• Develop cost estimates for engineering projects by gathering data and coordinating with leadership.
• Manage client proposals and data within client-specific software and GIS platforms.
• Manage project cost and timeline data across spreadsheets and platforms.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients in writing and verbally.
• Follow project workflow procedures to ensure efficiency.
• Manage files and records using electronic filing systems.
• Maintain confidentiality as per policy.
• Understand and execute proper use of document management systems; report issues promptly.
• Travel (5%) for on-site training or meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
