Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, seeks an Engineer Project Assistant to support software and systems engineers with administration, documentation, and process tasks. You will coordinate IOT requests, gather information, manage submittals, and ensure proper hand-offs while fostering continuous process improvements.

The role emphasizes strong organization, communication with diverse teams, and the ability to lead activities across engineering and support functions.

Qualifikationen

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• Experience communicating with a wide variety of technical and management personnel

Aufgaben

• Manage Inter-Entity IOT requests and consultation
• Gather all necessary info from Requestor and Performer roles
• Manage IOT submittal turn-backs
• Responsible for formal IOT hand-off once charge numbers are created
• Guide compliant IOT creation
• Help with guidance and light-weight IOT process education
• Properly and timely filling out metrics on every transaction
• Coordinate and lead activities with strong organization and analytical skills
• Edits format of required documentation
• Prepares presentations
• Coordinates the interaction of project/program team and support functions to communicate schedule and status
• Facilitates internal and/or external meetings
• Participates in status meetings
• SharePoint access management
• Engineering metrics collection and familiarity with process/RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) rollout
• Requirements management support
• Change Control Board (CCB) coordination/meeting minutes/tracking/action items
• Provides tools expertise and support to Engineering: MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools. Generate reports as required
• Interfaces with engineers and engineering managers to create/edit documentation
• Collects metrics and supports the preparation of presentation materials for analysis
• Works with Engineering to train on processes and tools. Identifies opportunities for continuous process improvements
• Assists in tracking action items and tasks in the change management process
• Acts as primary focal and liaison for program support, across engineering and other departments
• Networks with both internal and external personnel at multiple levels
• Generally, works on assignments which are given by the engineering teams
• Works with engineering teams to effectively resolve issues
