FAR.AI is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Red Team, building scalable tooling and safeguarding capabilities for frontier AI models. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to advance safety research and real-world mitigations.

You will run a growing engineering organization, with roughly 40% hands-on work and 60% management, partnering with researchers, labs, and government bodies to elevate global safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in leading technical teams.
• Experience building scalable software for safety testing or red-teaming is a plus.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of red-teaming tooling and workflows.
• Manage and mentor engineers, plan sprints and hiring.
• Collaborate with governments, labs, and industry to shape safety standards.
• Balance hands-on coding with high-velocity team leadership.
