Job summary

Thermo Systems in Mansfield, TX (or remote with travel) is seeking an Engineering Manager for Power Generation Design. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, develop engineers, plan resources, and set standards for drawings and specifications from design through startup.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical engineering and 8+ years of progressive engineering leadership across complex projects. Expect travel up to 50% and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience with leadership of engineers, designers, or technical teams.
• Experience managing deliverables across multi-discipline industrial, utility, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of engineering design, specifications, codes, standards, and quality review processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineers and designers; set expectations for technical quality and delivery.
• Oversee engineering drawings, design criteria, equipment specs, and other deliverables to meet client requirements and project needs.
• Establish design standards, templates, review practices, and quality controls across disciplines.
• Plan staffing and schedules across projects; monitor progress and address risks.
• Provide technical direction for power generation systems including generators, gas turbines, transformers, and switchgear.
