Job summary

Gifthealth seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions. You will provide technical leadership across 3–5 engineering teams, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with product, design, and operations goals.

You will drive architecture decisions, establish best practices, and promote a culture of high-quality, reliable systems that support Gifthealth's mission to improve access to affordable healthcare.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading pillar-level teams and multiple engineering teams.
• Experience with Agile delivery and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, RESTful APIs, Postgres, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Leads design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Provides technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural guidance across the engineering teams within their pillar.
• Manages, mentors, and supports 3–5 engineering teams within their pillar, including performance feedback and career development for engineers and team leads.
• Collaborates with product, design, operations, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
