Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Project Engineer for Energy Storage to support the preconstruction team and coordinate project deliverables to meet profitability and schedule goals. This fully remote role collaborates with engineering, estimating, procurement, and operations to validate design assumptions and develop execution plans.

You will assist in CPM scheduling, LNTP development, and project documentation while coordinating with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Energy Storage construction or design-related experience.
•  
• Energy Storage field experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of construction cost accounting.
• Basic estimating and scheduling skills.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Effective written and verbal English communication.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Drafting and advanced computer skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Closely work with Precon PM, internal and external engineering team.
• Maintain project documentation and systems including drawings, RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, cost tracking, and CMiC records.
• Support subcontractor coordination, safety planning, and general project engineering functions with engineering and Operations.
• Coordinate project documentation, scope definition, LNTP development, and operational readiness for project execution teams.
• Provide general project engineering support including meeting coordination, document management, cost reporting, subcontractor interface.
• Collaborate with engineering, estimating, procurement, and operations teams to validate design assumptions, equipment lead times, installation strategies, and project logistics; identify risks.
• Assist in development, review, and maintenance of CPM schedules and construction work plans.
• Track design changes, scope updates, and engineering revisions that may impact cost, schedule or construction methodology.
• Support development and review of Energy Storage EPC project execution plans and constructability reviews.
• Participate in technical review of EPC contract documents, project specifications, bid packages, and subcontractor proposals.
