Qualifications

• 3+ years of Solar/PV engineering or construction experience.
• Expertise in power electronics, battery storage system design, substation design, or generation tie design.
• Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries and DC/DC converters.
• Familiarity with lithium-ion storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC).
• Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
• Ability to travel 25% for project responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects.
• Identify inconsistencies in engineering drawings and drive design quality improvements.
• Resolve errors in engineering studies and propose future solutions.
• Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts.
• Support projects from beginning to completion with project managers.
• Influence project teams on engineering tasks.
• Stay updated on project progress and technical issues.
• Manage project milestones and recognize risks.
• Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment.
• Work with diverse teams to integrate systems and controls.
• Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing and site design improvements.
• Understand permitting requirements and propose solutions to legal challenges.
• Travel 25% for project-specific responsibilities.
