Job summary

STI Federal is seeking an Energy Engineer to support DOE/CMEI TA projects. The role emphasizes technical reporting, data analysis, and documentation development for energy technologies and systems.

This remote nationwide position requires a PE license, 3–10 years of energy engineering experience, and the ability to obtain federal clearance up to Top Secret/DOE Q. Strong writing and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 3 to 10 years of relevant energy or environmental engineering experience.
• Clearance: ability to obtain and maintain federal clearance up to Top Secret/DOE Q levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, update, and present engineering reports for TA projects across DOE/CMEI offices.
• Develop and maintain project plans, SOPs, workflows, and documentation for TA delivery.
• Provide independent technical project support, ensuring accuracy and DOE guidance compliance.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and perform QA/QC checks for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist DOE in evaluating energy technologies, systems, and processes relevant to CMEI initiatives.
• Ensure transparency and compliance with federal advisory and assistance requirements.
