Job summary

California ISO seeks an Energy Data Acquisition Specialist to design and support telemetry and revenue metering systems. The role interfaces with market participants and engineers to resolve tariff/BPM questions, builds data for ISO markets, and maintains documentation to ensure compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, strong communication, and hands-on experience with metering, SCADA, and related testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with telemetry and revenue metering concepts is expected.
• Knowledge of SCADA and telemetry software and related hardware is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain telemetry and revenue metering standards.
• Assist participants and engineers in troubleshooting tariff/BPM requirements.
• Support network model builds and data certification for ISO markets.
• Provide guidance and training to internal/external customers on metering processes.
• Verify integrity of resources certified for ancillary services and manage testing data.
• Support ISO control center by monitoring telemetry issues in real time.
