Job summary

Priority Patient Transport is hiring a fully remote HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR for our multi-site EMS organization, covering recruiting, onboarding, credential tracking, benefits and payroll support.

You will work with five locations, coordinating with operations managers and reporting to the owner/VP of Operations. You will address policy changes, separations and sensitive employee matters with discretion and urgency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience in EMS or private ambulance setting.
• 2+ years recruiting, onboarding and personnel paperwork.
• Familiar with EMS credentialing and driver requirements.
• Proven remote-work track record with strong documentation.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and hiring for EMTs, paramedics, wheelchair van operators, dispatchers and office staff; source candidates and run phone screens.
• Onboarding remotely: offer letters, background checks, DOT/physical scheduling, I-9 coordination.
• Track credentials (OEMS, NREMT, CPR/ACLS/PALS) and ensure no lapses; manage calendar reminders.
• Employee support: respond to questions via phone, video and chat; keep records updated.
• Records and compliance: maintain HR files, OSHA logs, HIPAA training; support contracts.
