Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of substantive litigation experience.
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Employment litigation or labor & employment experience strongly preferred; other strong litigators may apply.
• Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and substantive motions.
• Deposition experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in state and federal court.
• EEOC, NLRB, or other administrative agency experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and responding to discovery, pleadings, and motions
• Taking and defending depositions
• Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
• Handling court appearances and arguing motions
• Defending employers in state and federal litigation
• Assisting with matters before agencies such as the EEOC and NLRB
• Advising clients on day-to-day employment law issues
• Drafting and revising employee handbooks, policies, and related materials
• Supporting client training and employment law compliance initiatives
• Working closely with experienced partners on complex employment matters
