Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain mission-ready software. You will write, test, and optimize code for embedded systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and refine solutions.

A Secret clearance is required, and you will interpret schematics and datasheets to inform design choices. You’ll work with modern tools and platforms, expand your technical skill set, and contribute to security-focused, mission-critical projects

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in embedded system development
• Experience with microcontrollers, FPGA, or custom hardware platforms
• Experience applying C, C++, hardware interfaces including SPI and UART, and debugging tools in hands-on engineering environments
• Experience maintaining and expanding state machine designs to support system functionality
• Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience researching emerging technologies and integrating new concepts into project needs
• Experience interpreting schematics, datasheets, and system requirements to guide technical decisions
• Experience documenting engineering work products, configuration, and test results
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science and 3+ years of experience with software engineering or 7+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degree
