Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a material handler to receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment and products. The role involves reading schedules and orders to determine items to move, conveying materials between receiving, production, and storage areas, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities include placing items on racks and shelves, preparing parcels for mailing, and ensuring proper presentation and temperature control per HACCP standards.

• Requires ability to read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, or requisitions.
• Maintains inventory records and ensures proper stock placement.
• Follows HACCP standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Places materials/goods on racks, shelves and bins or in refrigerated rooms per predetermined sequence.
• Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials and distributes items to production workers.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and conveys orders to packing/shipping.
• Drives vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
• Maintains inventory records and records amounts of materials received or distributed.
