University of California, Berkeley is seeking a Summer Online Project/Policy Analyst to support policies, projects, and programs for Summer Sessions course offerings. The role focuses on online course development, student proctoring, and policy guidance to enhance enrollment objectives.

With a focus on adherence to academic integrity and collaboration with multiple departments, this position plays a key role in shaping policies for online courses and proctored exams, while supporting the broader

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Analytical / problem-solving skills.
Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals/analyses.
Ability to multitask with demanding timeframes.
Strong policy analysis techniques.

Responsabilités

Policy and Proctoring Guidance - 20%: Prepares directives, regulations, technical guidance, and other instructions for issuance to academic departments, department schedulers, summer instructors, and students, as needed to support Summer Sessions initiatives and enrollment objectives.
Coordination and Project Management - 15%: Coordinates efforts with a variety of external and internal contacts including academic departments, students, summer instructors, the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Office of the Registrar, etc. Researches organizational structures, policies, and procedures and summarizes best practices in field.
Strategic Direction and Contract Management - 10%: Develops proposals and recommendations to guide broader strategic direction... manage online course agreements with academic departments, licensing agreements with University faculty, budget and funding agreements with campus partners/external vendors.
Reporting and External Relations - 10%: Researches and drafts complex proposals, reports, briefings, and executive summaries.
Financial and Resource Analysis - 5%: Provides analyses for complex budget, financial, academic, data, systems and resource projects...
Regulatory and Policy Monitoring - 5%: Researches, monitors and analyzes regulations, legislation, research literature, best practices, and UC policies...
Field Research and Best Practices - 5%: Researches and summarizes best practices in field of Summer Sessions and online education.
Committee Participation - 5%: Proposes, leads and / or participates on policy and planning committees and working groups, as needed.
Post-Implementation Analysis - 5%: Conducts post-implementation analysis to determine need for further enhancements...
Ad Hoc Analytical Studies - 5%: Performs ad hoc, analytical studies on a wide variety of policies, programs and issues.
Consultative Services and Process Analysis - 5%: Researches and analyzes processes and procedures, summarizes findings, policies and organizational structures in order to develop and / implement changes and to provide consultative services.
Cross-Organizational Coordination - 5%: Coordinates implementation with cross-organizational departments or external entities as needed.
Project Planning and Budgeting - 5%: Develops scope of work, budgets, and reports for projects including online course developments, online course grading and assessment, online enrollment, etc.
