Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking an Accounting/Fiscal Manager I to lead advanced financial planning, analysis, and decision-support activities that shape the College’s long-term financial health. You will develop forecasting models, oversee auxiliary operations, and collaborate with executives to enable data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with accounting coursework and professional experience in accounting, auditing, banking, finance, or a related field.
• Four years of professional experience in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Experience developing financial models, forecasts, budget projections, scenario analyses, and executive-level financial reports.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting, financial reporting, budgeting practices, fiscal policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Experience managing auxiliary operations, contracts, vendor relationships, or revenue-generating functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate a large team handling auxiliary operations and related financial activities; monitor compliance and financial performance.
• Develop and maintain strategic financial models, forecasts, and performance reporting tools for executive decisions.
• Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and decision memoranda for senior leadership.
• Conduct program economics, pricing, tuition and fee analyses to inform planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor KPIs and develop recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
• Lead cross-functional financial projects with Academic Affairs, Finance, Facilities, and other stakeholders.
