• Current Penn State undergraduate student.

• Familiarity with major social media platforms and cross-channel content.
• Understanding of what resonates with younger audiences.
• Curiosity about the McCourtney Institute and the democracy field.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Canva, CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Previous experience managing social media for an organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review podcast episodes and event recordings to pull engaging clips for social platforms.
• Research social media trends and best practices to improve content.
• Develop content opportunities with partners in The Democracy Group and Penn State.
• Capture photos and videos at events as needed.
• Collaborate with team to source content ideas.
• Track content performance and analyze audience resonance.
• Assist with other marketing and communications projects.
