SAIC is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to support NSWC Crane's Mach-TB program. You will lead as the primary Systems Engineer for designated hypersonic missions, guiding integration, verification, and execution across the mission lifecycle.

This high-visibility role requires strong technical leadership and coordination with government stakeholders, experiment teams, and launch providers; up to 25% travel and flexible telework options are available.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, physics or related STEM field.
• 10+ years in systems engineering with experience in requirements development and management.
• Experience with verification and validation planning and execution.
• System integration and interface management experience.
• DoD acquisition processes familiarity and program lifecycle milestones.

Mansioni

• Serve as the primary Systems Engineer for an assigned Mach-TB mission, owning technical integrity from concept through post-mission review.
• Lead development and management of stakeholder requirements with traceability from objectives to design.
• Develop and maintain Verification & Validation plans, tracking compliance across mission elements.
• Assess mission feasibility and provide technical recommendations to the Program Office.
• Coordinate integration activities between experiment payload teams and launch providers.
• Review ICDs and integration procedures for technical compliance.
• Identify and resolve interface conflicts and risks across multi-experiment missions.
• Support integration reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, MRR) and provide actionable feedback.
• Act as the technical point of contact for government customers, PIs, and range safety personnel.
• Develop and present technical briefings, white papers, and status reports.
• Facilitate technical working groups to drive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Mach-TB SE team for cross-mission consistency and lessons learned.
