Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in New Mexico, or eligibility for admission.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills; ability to translate research into persuasive drafts.
• Experience drafting motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Personal injury or civil litigation experience preferred; insurance defense or appellate background is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with trial attorneys and Team Leads across multiple case teams.

Responsibilities

• Legal Research: research NM law on liability, damages, and procedural issues in personal injury and premises liability matters.
• Drafting: prepare motions, responses, briefs, and legal memoranda for pre-litigation and litigation teams.
• Case Strategy Support: collaborate with trial attorneys to identify legal issues and strengthen case positions.
• General Responsibilities: deliver timely, well-supported written work and ensure efficient case progression.
