Job summary

Ambrosia Labs in Groton, CT, seeks a chemist to lead new product development from formulation to QA, including testing, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Role requires a B.S. in Chemistry or related field with 3–5 years in production or NPD, strong analytical skills, and experience with HPLC/GC and other analytical techniques. Remote work may be possible with team leader approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related area.
• 3-5 years of production and/or new product research and development experience.
• Experience with standard laboratory equipment and organic chemistry practices.
• Knowledge of chemical analysis and mechanical evaluation using spectroscopy, thermal methods, HPLC, GC.
• Ability to multi-disciplinary problem-solve.
• Ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production and QA activities.
• Approve analytics for quality control testing in the lab.
• Perform laboratory synthesis and experiments per established procedures.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for technical projects.
• Present concepts and project updates to peers, management, customers, or investors.
• Provide internal technical services to operations for existing and new products.
• Use statistical tools to design experiments and analyze data.
• Maintain and upgrade laboratory instrumentation.
• Train or mentor junior staff and students in routine analyses.
• Support development of studies and procedures.
• Lead experiments with minimal supervision.
• Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP regulations.
