Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Principal Software Engineer – Open Mission Systems to support the development and integration of advanced OMS capabilities for a military aircraft platform. You will contribute to interoperable avionics architectures and mission readiness for U.S.

programs. The successful candidate will apply extensive C++ experience in Linux, middleware and DDS, and work within a high-performing multi-site team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• 8+ years of C++ development experience.
• OMS software architecture and development.
• C++ mission software in Linux environments.
• Middleware and data distribution (DDS).
• Service-oriented and event-driven software design.
• Interface definition and data modeling.
• Mission-level simulation and integration testing.
• Onsite 100% work requirement.
• Willingness to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test OMS software for a military aircraft platform.
• Collaborate with a multi-site team to deliver mission-critical software.
• Support integration, testing, and deployment activities for Open Mission Systems.
