Job summary

The Seattle Housing Authority is seeking a skilled Plumber to maintain and repair plumbing systems across housing facilities in Seattle. The role requires working with residential and commercial plumbing, interpreting plans, and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required by Union Apprenticeship Program.
• Completion of plumbing apprenticeship program or general training/experience as a maintenance plumber.
• Valid Washington Driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Valid Washington Journeyman Plumber's license.

Responsibilities

• Installs, replaces, services, and repairs plumbing systems.
• Answers service calls.
• Records material usage and maintenance work orders.
• Maintains an adequate supply of replacement parts.
• Instructs residents in proper care of plumbing systems.
• Attends safety meetings and follows health guidelines.
• Performs work during off hours for emergencies.
• Prepares required reports.
