Onco360 Pharmacy in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist to join our dedicated team. This full-time role focuses on obtaining insurance approvals so patients receive their medications promptly, with on-site training followed by possible remote work.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of pharmacy or prior authorization experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of pharmacy or prior authorization experience.
• Board of Pharmacy registration as required by state law.
• Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance; CoverMyMeds experience.
• Preferred: Associate degree or PTCB certification; 3+ years in pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Process prior authorization requests with insurance carriers.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists and other departments.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance when handling patient information.
• Maintain accurate documentation of authorization details.
• Proactively monitor and renew expiring authorizations.
