Job summary

Onco360 Pharmacy in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist for a full-time role, starting at $23 per hour and up. After on-site training, remote work may be possible.

You will manage prior authorization requests, coordinate with physicians and pharmacists, ensure HIPAA compliance, and renew expiring authorizations to help patients access required medications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of pharmacy or prior authorization experience preferred.
• Registration with Board of Pharmacy as required by state law.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, insurance claims (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial), NCPDP claim rejection resolution, coordination of benefits, NDC billing, and CoverMyMeds usage.

Responsibilities

• Manage prior authorization requests and appeals with insurance carriers.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other departments.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance while handling sensitive patient information.
• Maintain accurate documentation of authorization details.
• Proactively monitor and renew expiring authorizations.
