Job summary

SmithRx is seeking a Patient Access Specialist I to assist patient members in obtaining essential medications and navigating prescription options. You will be their advocate, guiding them through programs to achieve cost-effective, timely access while serving as the liaison between patients, providers, and pharmacies.

This seasonal contract position offers potential for full-time conversion after 6 months based on performance and business needs, with four days of remote work possible after a

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare or pharmacy experience in customer service/support.
• Customer support or call center experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows PC and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients about pharmacy benefits and help source medications through programs.
• Assist members, providers and pharmacies via outbound calls, email and other channels.
• Enroll patients in drug savings programs and cost savings initiatives.
• Coordinate enrollment into cost savings programs with physicians and pharmacies.
• Resolve issues on calls with empathy and quality, and document follow-up.
