Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring Mobile Inspectors to perform on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory. Roles offer levels 1–Senior with pay scales tied to location and experience, and a remote-working option with geographic residency requirements.

The Mobile Inspector builds trust with dealers through consistent, high-quality inspections, documents vehicle condition accurately, and supports territory productivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimal automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical).
• 0–1 years of automotive-related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic to advanced vehicle inspections per Manheim standards.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer lots.
• Verify VINs, mileage, options, and document data accurately.
• Inspect exterior and interior condition and mechanical components.
• Communicate with dealer clients and maintain territory activity.
• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.
• Use Salesforce.com for reporting and lead management.
