Qualifications

  • Active professional geologist license in Pennsylvania.
  • Valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

  • Field investigations: conduct site inspections, gather groundwater data, document local geologic conditions.
  • Data analysis: evaluate hydrogeological information, interpret maps and logs, prepare technical reports.
  • Technical reviews: assess environmental proposals and groundwater studies for accuracy and compliance.
  • Complaint response: address groundwater and stray gas concerns and contribute to remediation decisions.
  • Technical guidance: provide expertise to staff, management, and the public regarding groundwater issues and regulatory requirements.
