Job summary

NANA Worley, LLC is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer based at our Anchorage, AK headquarters with a case-by-case remote option. The role emphasizes designing electrical systems, equipment, and facilities for industrial projects, using AutoCAD and ETAP for simulations and 3-D modeling.

Qualified candidates have at least five years of electrical design experience, an AA in Engineering Technology or equivalent, and cold-weather project experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent in Engineering Technology from an accredited institution or equivalent years of design experience.
• Minimum five (5) years experience designing electrical drawings.
• Experience with electrical processes.
• Applicable cold weather experience required.
• Experience with 3-D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and applies codes, procedures, standards and specifications to accurately and efficiently produce designs which conform to applicable codes and specifications.
• Interprets complex vendor data or drawings for conformance with project requirements and initiates resolution of any problems.
• Accurately develops material takeoffs and estimates.
• Proficiently operates various AutoCAD systems. Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform design tasks.
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
• Designs fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
