Qualifications

• Associate degree or equal in Engineering Technology; design experience acceptable.
• Minimum five years experience designing electrical drawings.
• Experience with electrical processes and cold weather conditions.
• Experience with 3-D modeling and related CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and applies codes, procedures, standards and specs to produce designs conforming to codes.
• Interprets vendor data and initiates resolution of issues.
• Develops material takeoffs and estimates.
• Operates AutoCAD systems; uses CAD software for design tasks.
• Inspects equipment for conformance with design specs and performance requirements.
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components and systems for various uses.
• Provides technical information and training to others; supports field construction.
• Keeps abreast of technical changes and industry developments.
