Job summary

The Department of Transportation in New York City seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee pavement markings and street improvement projects across all five boroughs. You will coordinate with contractors, Borough Offices, and agency teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Candidates should have strong project management, documentation, and communication skills, with a NY driver license preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year diploma with five years of full-time experience managing/conducting construction projects worth at least $300k per project.
• Alternatively a bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience or a professional license.
• Valid NY driver license preferred; readiness to maintain during employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage pavement markings and related assets for Street Improvement Projects and resurfacing work.
• Coordinate with contractors, Borough Offices, and field personnel to meet schedules.
• Develop and improve processes, monitor contractor performance, and maintain records.
• Support annual program value of around $40 million and track KPIs.
