Job summary

San Juan College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in the Industrial Process Operator Program at the SJC Main Campus in Farmington. The part-time, fixed-term role reports to the IPOP/MECH Program Coordinator and teaches both classroom and lab sessions, contributing to curriculum development and student assessment.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree or equivalent technical apprenticeship, 5+ years in Industrial Process Operations, and familiarity with Canvas LMS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of a 4-year technical apprenticeship.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in Industrial Process Operations.
• Level 1 and 2 NM water/wastewater certifications preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain NM driver’s license for vehicle/ equipment.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and lab instruction for the Industrial Process Operator Program.
• Collaborate with department to develop curriculum and training.
• Maintain student records and evaluate performance; submit grades by deadline.
• Deliver diverse courses and adapt to hybrid/online formats.
• Utilize multiple technology platforms including Canvas to communicate with students.
