Job summary

Texas Connections Academy in Texas offers 100% virtual instruction to public school students in grades 3-12. The program is authorized by TEC and operated with Connections Education, LLC in partnership with Houston ISD to deliver high quality online learning.

We seek a certified Elementary teacher to deliver synchronous instruction, monitor progress, provide interventions, and communicate regularly with families.

Qualifications

• Texas EC-6 or 4-8 teaching certification required.
• TxVSN Certification required or willing to obtain.
• Gifted certification preferred.
• Strong technology skills with MS Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel 15-20%.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Occasional evening hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver synchronous instruction via Pearson Online Classroom.
• Manage a homeroom of students and communicate with families.
• Provide feedback, progress reports, and conferences.
• Coordinate with advisory teachers and counselors.
• Support school events and social activities.
