Job summary

Qualifications

• State of Ohio Special Education License.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Master’s Degree with emphasis in Special Education preferred.
• 3+ years classroom experience in Special Education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modify and adapt the K12 curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Write and maintain compliant IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to meet student goals.
• Educate parents on instructional strategies.
• Prepare and maintain documentation.
• Proctor assessments, including alternative assessments as required.
• Collaborate with related services team to develop and monitor IEP goals.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong presentation skills.
• Organizational skills and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Work independently without direct supervision.
• Maintain a flexible schedule; travel up to 20% of the time.
• Pass required background check.
