The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 7 years of experience in construction estimation, familiar with MEP systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent years of experience).
• 7 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably with electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to accurately prepare and estimate projects, focusing on electrical systems and scopes.
• Collaborate with project leads and leadership to develop electrical estimates as part of the overall package.
• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for new projects and change orders, meeting deadlines.
• Prepare takeoffs of electrical materials, estimate labor, and determine costs for bids.
• Read and interpret job bid instructions, drawings, and specs to prepare comprehensive price estimates.
• Work with Sales and Preconstruction Teams to understand size and scope of electrical projects and timelines.
• Offer value engineering or alternatives when requested by management.
• Summarize pricing estimates for leadership review.
